I also followed the West Memphis Three case fairly closely and was happy to see a tribute album for them, and to eventually even get to hear it performed live in Irving Plaza in NYC. As much as I love the Rawness of Black Flag albums and the anger and rage that Henry spits, you have to admit that the production value was never great. Title: Autopsyfiles.org - Christopher Byers Autopsy Report Subject: Autopsyfiles.org - Christopher Byers Autopsy Report Keywords: Autopsyfiles.org; WM3; west memphis. Rise Above: 24 Black Flag Songs to Benefit the West Memphis Three is a 2002 tribute album. The album consists of covers of Black Flag songs performed by the Rollins Band, with vocalists from various well-known rock, hip hop, punk and metal artists (as well as certain members of Black Flag) singing. All money raised from sales of the album were donated to the legal funds of the West Memphis Three. The song 'TV Party' was recorded three times. To promote the Damaged album in the United States, Unicorn Records had Black Flag enter the studio and re-record the song for the EP in March 1982, with their then-new drummer Emil Johnson. The EP version features a slower tempo and hand claps. The band again recorded the song at the request of Alex Cox, for his 1984 cult classic film Repo Man.
The discography of Black Flag, an American hardcore punk band, consists of seven studio albums, three live albums, four compilation albums, eight EPs, and one single.
